بررسی مجموعه ای از سوابق تراکنش ها که وضعیت مالی یک شرکت را در پایان یک دوره حسابداری مشخص می کند. صورتهای مالی متشکل از پنج بخش است که عبارتند از: بیانیه وضعیت مالی، بیانیه درآمد جامع، بیانیه تغییر در حقوق صاحبان سهام (SOCE)، بیانیه جریان نقدی و یادداشت ها.
